Volunteer Terms & Conditions

By volunteering with IDIC, you agree to the following terms to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone:

1. General Conduct

 

  • Treat all participants, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and kindness.

  • Support IDIC’s mission of inclusion, diversity, and community at all times.

  • Follow all directions provided by IDIC staff or designated leaders during activities or events.

2. Safety & Self-Awareness

 

  • Volunteers are responsible for being mindful of their own safety and the safety of those around them during activities and events.

  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to IDIC staff immediately.

  • Refrain from engaging in reckless behavior that could harm yourself, others, or property.

3. Weapons Policy

 

  • Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on IDIC premises and at any IDIC-sponsored event.

  • This includes, but is not limited to: firearms, knives (other than small utility tools as approved), and any object intended to cause harm.

  • Violations of this policy may result in immediate removal from the premises and termination of volunteer privileges.

4. Liability & Responsibility

 

  • Volunteers acknowledge that participation is voluntary and at their own risk.

  • IDIC is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while volunteering.

 

5. Compliance

 

  • Failure to follow these terms may result in suspension or removal from volunteer activities.

  • IDIC reserves the right to update these terms as needed to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
